Divine Teachings – Sri Lahiri Mahasaya

Kebal rechak o purak aur badhaoa, siddhi de……. laage aur

General Meaning:

Increase inhalation and exhalation more. Only then the Prana will be stilled and Samaadhi will be attained and perfection will be achieved. There is no need for holding the breath separately. Except for this Pranayam consisting of inhalation and exhalation only, all other Pranayamas are like a well without water, useless. The Mind becomes still, only by forcibly doing inhalation and exhalation, and making the vital air directed inward. If you increase the practice more and more, diseases go away, sins of prior births get burnt, purity is achieved. Spiritual knowledge comes and the darkness of ignorance is destroyed.

From the book “Puran Purush”

The Infinite Void, which is inside the void, is indescribable. That is the BINDU, that is the Soul Sun. the void, which is inside the void, has no beginning, no end. But that void is different from this perceptible void. That Infinite Pure Void is beyond time and space, there is no present, past, or future in it. The Soul Sun gets lost in “It”. Now I feel great joy. It is coming up from within. It is the stillest. Its reaches are infinite, timeless. With eyes closed, one can see the creations of the outside. Lots of joy.

Commentary on The Bhagavad Gita

ईश्वर: सर्वभूतानां हृद्देशेऽर्जुन तिष्ठति |
भ्रामयन्सर्वभूतानि यन्त्रारूढानि मायया || 61||

īśhvaraḥ sarva-bhūtānāṁ hṛid-deśherjuna tiṣhṭhati
bhrāmayan sarva-bhūtāni yantrārūḍhāni māyayā

The Bhagavad Gita Ch 18 Verse 61

God is present and abiding in the Cave of the Heart of all beings. He is abiding everywhere, but he abides more intensely in the Heart.

By Bhakta Ram Prasad

দুবদি মান কালী বললে,
হুরুদি রত্নকারের আগাড জলেই

dubdey maan kaali boley,
hrudi ratnakarer agaadh jaley

Bhakta Rama Prasad ( 18th Century Bengali Saint poet)

To reach Him one has to drive deep into the Infinite Ocean of the Cave of the Heart, Not outside. O’ spiritual seeker, within you a heroic entity is sleeping. Hit it with your will power and awaken it. Make that heroic entity your horse, sit on its back, and gallop forward courageously. But even by mistake, do not hold the reign in your hands. Hand it over to the lord, Ista Deva, God, like Arjuna of Bhagavad Gita. Live in the world but do not get entangled in the negative situations of the world. Do not allow the six wheels of the body chariot (6 Chakras), to fall in the pits of desires, lust, anger, greed, delusion, and intoxication.

Question & Answer session with Disciples

By what method, the restless mind remains calm?

Answer: If the mind becomes non-existent love, devotion, liking, all depend on the restlessness of the Prana (Life Energy) in the body. The love of Mother and Child, The love between Husband and Wife, the devotion and love of the Devotee for God, the source of all these is the same Prana. The body does not love the body. Prana loves Prana only. Because the source of love is Prana. If there is no Prana or life in the body there is no love. The energy with which you embrace your wife, with the same you embrace your daughter.

So, first of all, you learn to love the Prana of your body. Serve it well. To do Prana Karma or Pranayam is the service to Prana. Remember it and perceive it. By doing Pranayam, you can feel and perceive it. Once you do it, you can feel and perceive the Universal Prana. Then you can realize the same Prana in all people and in all beings, you can feel the oneness of all. For example, standing in any side or corner of the sea beach, you can see the sea and can have a full idea of the sea. It is not necessary to see the whole extent or dimensions of the sea. Similarly, you can realize the Prana in yourself, you can realize the whole of the Universal Prana.

The Joys of Non-dualism (Adwaita)

When you consider the Self as different identities other than yourself (The Soul) and Soul only), it is Dwaita or Duality or Dualism. This Duality is the source of all sufferings. It has no other remedy except to remain in the Paravasthaa of Kriya Yoga (Super Conscious State or Jagrat Samadhi). When inferring as two, one more except the one, it is imagination. Considerations of body, heaven, hell, liberation, fear, desires, cravings, all these are imaginations and conditionings. When you renunciate all these imaginations and abide in the Dynamic Samadhi State (Paravasthaa of Kriya Yoga), the non-dual state, then there is no desire, no cravings, there is no rejection, no acceptance, no bondage, no liberation, then there is real peace and freedom.

I pray to god and our merciful Gurus to Bless you, Guide you, Protect you and Inspire you.

With Love and Blessings to you. Humbly,
Paramahansa Atmananda Ji
