Paraprakruti
इन्द्रियेभ्यः परं मनो मनसः सत्त्वमुत्तमम् ।
Kathopanishad 2.3.7
सत्त्वादधि महानात्मा महतोऽव्यक्तमुत्तमम् ॥ ७ ॥
indriyebhyaḥ paraṃ mano manasaḥ sattvamuttamam
sattvādadhi mahānātmā mahato avyaktamuttamam
Superior to the sense organs is the mind. Superior to the mind is the intellect. Superior to the intellect and its Master is the individual soul. The soul has control over all of these. Superior to the individual soul or the Jeevatmaa is the un-manifest Mother Nature (Para Prakruti), which has control over it.
Paramatma
अव्यक्तात्तु परः पुरुषो व्यापकोऽलिङ्ग एव च ।
Kathopanishad 2.3.8
यं ज्ञात्वा मुच्यते जन्तुरमृतत्वं च गच्छति ॥ ८ ॥
avyaktāttu paraḥ puruṣo vyāpakoaliṅga eva ch |
yaṃ gyñātvā muchyate jantur mṛutatvaṃ ch gacchati || 8 ||
But greater than this un-manifest mother nature is its master, god, the supreme soul, or Paramatma. The formless Supreme Soul, the God, is pervading everywhere. Realizing this Supreme Soul, the person (individual self), becomes free from the bondage of Mother Nature. Having been liberated from this bondage, it realizes its immortal blissful state
Jeevatma and The Supreme Self
द्वा सुपर्णा सयुजा सखाया समानं वृक्षं परिषस्वजाते ।
Mundaka Upanishad 3.1.1
तयोरन्यः पिप्पलं स्वाद्वत्त्यनश्नन्नन्यो अभिचाकशीति ॥ १ ॥
dvā suparṇā sayujā sakhāyā samānaṃ vṛikhyam pariṣaswajāte |
tayoranyaḥ pippalaṃ swādvattya anaśnannanyo abhicākaśīti
In this verse, the body is compared to a Peepul Tree. The individual self is compared to one bird and the supreme self as the other bird. God, the supreme self and, Jeevaatma, the individual self, are two close friend birds, live together in the same human body (tree), in the cave of the heart. Of these two birds, the one representing the individual self eats the fruits of the tree and undergoes the experiences of its actions (Karma and Karmaphal) and their results. It experiences cravings and attachments and sufferings and repulsions. The other bird, the Supreme Self, God, never eats nor enjoys nor experiences but keeps on watching or witnessing without having any attachments.
Attainment
यं यं लोकं मनसा संविभाति विशुद्धसत्त्वः कामयते यांश्च कामान् ।
तं तं लोकं जयते तांश्च कामांस्तस्मादात्मज्ञं ह्यर्चयेत्भूतिकामः ॥ १० ॥yaṃ yaṃ lokaṃ manasā saṃvibhāti viśuddha sattvaḥ kāmayate yāṃścha kāmān |
Mundaka Upanishad 3.1.10
taṃ taṃ lokaṃ jayate tāṃścha kāmāṃstasmādātmagñayṃ hyarchayet bhūtikāmaḥ || 10 ||
In the previous verses, it is mentioned that the pure-hearted spiritual seeker, completely free from desires and attachments, and egoism, meditate on the supreme spirit, attains Him, and is liberated. In this
