God can be realized through one’s own duties – The Bhagavad Gita – Chapter18 Verse45

स्वे स्वे कर्मण्यभिरत: संसिद्धिं लभते नर: |
स्वकर्मनिरत: सिद्धिं यथा विन्दति तच्छृणु || 45||

sway sway karmanya bhiratah sam suddhim labhatey narah
swa-karma-nirataḥ siddhim yatha vindati tachchhrinu

Lord Krishna Speaks:

By performing one’s own duties to the best of one’s abilities, and remaining busy with them, one can attain the highest success of God Realization. How it is done, please listen to it from Me.
