अंतस्त्यक्तकषायस्य निर्द्वन्द्वस्य निराशिषः।
Ashtavakra Samhita Chapter 3 Verse 14
यदृच्छयागतो भोगो न दुःखाय न तुष्टये॥३- १४॥
aṃtastyaktakaṣāyasya nirdvandvasya nirāśiṣaḥ ।
yadṛcchayāgato bhogo na duḥkhāya na tuṣṭaye ॥ 3-14॥
That person who has renounced worldly attachments from his mind, and is free from the pairs of opposites, and is free from desires and cravings, to such a person, no experience, coming as a matter of course, can cause either pain or pleasure.
अष्टावक्र उवाच –
Ashtavakra Samhita Chapter 8 Verse 1
तदा बन्धो यदा चित्तं किन्चिद् वांछति शोचति।
किंचिन् मुंचति गृण्हाति किंचिद् हृष्यति कुप्यति॥८-१॥
tadā bandho yadā chittaṃ kiñchid vāñchati śochati ।
kiṃchin mruchanti gṛunhāti kiṃchid dṛusyati kupyati ॥ 8-1॥
It is bondage, when the mind, desires or craves or grieves or laments at
तदा मुक्तिर्यदा चित्तं न वांछति न शोचति।
Ashtavakra Samhita Chapter 8 Verse 2
न मुंचति न गृण्हाति न हृष्यति न कुप्यति॥८- २॥
tadaa muktiryadaa chittam na banchhati na shochati
na munchati na grunwhati na hrusyati na kupyati॥ 8-2॥
Liberation is achieved, the moment, the mind is free from desires and cravings and grievances. Liberation is achieved when the mind does not reject or accept, or feel happy or angry.
