The Kathopanishad Verse 1.3.4 – इन्द्रियाणि हयानाहुर्विषयाँ स्तेषु गोचरान् ।

इन्द्रियाणि हयानाहुर्विषयाँ स्तेषु गोचरान् ।
आत्मेन्द्रियमनोयुक्तं भोक्तेत्याहुर्मनीषिणः ॥ ४ ॥

indriyani hayanahurviṣayam stesu gocharan ।
atmendriyamanoyuktam bhoktetyahurmanisinah ॥ 4 ॥

In the chariot, the senses are the horses. The fields and roads are the sense objects. The soul, in association with the senses and the mind, is the real enjoyer or experiencer.
